The Strydom Arabian stud represents a combination of talent of it's owners, Tinus and Francisca Strydom.
Francisca has been involved with Arabian Horses for as long as she can remember.  An accomplished rider she has participated in shows and endurance events.  She is an exceptional horsewoman; her knowledge and love for the Arabian horse is visible in her dedication to those in her care.

Tinus is a well known businessman, successful in the real estate industry where he has accumulated an array of significant  awards.  He is respected in the business community, being honored as Centurion's businessman of the year and recently as Centurion of the year.

Tinus and Francisca's aim with the stud is to breed world-class, pure bred Arabians.  A part of the stud will be focused on breeding Straight Egyptians while the breeding of horses for halter and performance showing, as well as for endurance event will also form of their plan.

They have assembled a stud representing some of the most famous bloodlines of the Arabian breed, and the collection of pictures on this website serves to illustrates why Tinus and Francisca is so excited about the prospects of this stud.

The farm

The place which the horses of the Strydom Arabian stud call home, is a lush green 670 hectares estate, situated at the foot of the magnificent Magalliesberg mountain range; close to the town of Bronkhorstspruit in the Gauteng province of South Africa.  The farm is easily accessible a mere 35 minutes drive from the OR Thambo International Airport.

The farm boasts spectacular indigenous plants and excellent grazing.  The numerous fountains on the estate feed the Bronkhorst river, which runs through the farm and ensures an abundance of water.

Stallions and broodmares are housed in a 3-block barn arrangement; comprising close to 60 individual stables.  A riding ring and training circle ensure proper training facilities for all horses at the stud.  A dedicated team of full time personnel see to the training, grooming and general well-being of the horses.
